I have worked with Yvonne in her math class. Each day, she would begin again with her students, and the use of her method of writing QUIET on the board allowed her students to regulate their behaviors throughout the class period. Often, only the first or second letters were used during the class period. She always followed through with her consequences, and her students knew this. This allowed them to think about what behaviors were more readily acceptable and those that were not. As the year progressed, more and more good behavior choices were seen on a daily basis.
